With my new German friends, Julia and Alexa, we ventured to southern Georgia on the border with Azerbaijan to look at this famous monestary! This last photo was as we hiked up the mountain to see the formerly used cave monestary. We hiked up with some Georgian border guards equiped with Kalshnichovs! We found out later that the caves are actually in Azerbaijan and sometimes they don't allow you to see them. Georgia is in the process of exchanging this land with Azerbaijan, it is extremely important to them.
