I had my 29th birthday today and had a lil BBQ in 102 degree weather to celebrate. I had a baby pool out for those that wanted to cool off, but it ended up being a giant dog water bowl. I managed to use it once or twice (see photo 2).It's inevitable that the instruments come out and they came out to sing my "Happy Birthday" as the cake, adorned with far too many candles, was brought out for all the aching sweet tooths (note: The cake was chocolate-peanut butter ice cream) . With a little help from my favorite neighbor Annie, we blew out the candles (see photo 3).
I received three pretty cool gifts from nature: a crazy red sun set, a marvelous magenta lightening show, and rain. All of which I did not photograph, so you'll just have to take my word for it (see Newman in bottom photo admiring the lightening show!).
Despite the lightening and rain the bluegrass continued with some crowd pleasing renditions of the Cure, Pictures of You and Whitesnake, Here I Go Again. Thanks Caroline!Sorry no photos of Caroline spread eagle on the hood of a car but you can see her in her ever popular video...(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKTiwCez6Zs).
...Like a twister I was born to walk alone.
